1. macro shots
I run into a depth of field problem that either works for or against me. The depth of field is so small, that if I am trying to take a picture of a flower for example, I cannot always get all parts of it in focus. I 'm thinking I can mess with the apperature, but I will have to go back and do some reading. A larger aperature allows in more light, so more DOF correct?
I have a macro mode on my camera, and have fiddled with it a bit, but sometimes it's hard to tell if it actually makes a difference
Anyways, any personal tips would be great
2. aquariums
Not camera-friendly, those low-lit fishies!!!!! But I love them so. I only have a few pictures that have ever turned out well from aquariums, and it was due to luck more than skill. Any good setting suggestions? I know some things must vary, but there have to be some rules of thumb!! What has, in general, worked for you?
3. "sports" mode
What applications have you guys used this for, other than the obvious sports, and what kind of results do you get? I assume the mode puts shutter speed at top priority, and everything else follows....but is that the extent of it's capabilities?
